For all of you PS Vita owners that are still waiting to play PSone classics, prepare your rage face. New on the Chinese market is the Droid X360, a PS Vita lookalike that runs the Android software and comes pre-loaded with every old school emulator: NES, SNES, Sega Genesis, Sega Game Gear, Game Boy Color, Game Boy Advance, Nintendo 64, and Playstation . Minus the back touch screen, you have essentially the same device only it’s linked to a free marketplace of games. Currently there is no talk of the system coming to the states, but with the development of Ouya (which looks amazing!), third party hardware is finally getting some time in the spotlight.

My friend will lose his MIND when he catches wind of this. Rage faces indeed.
The Android market, while steadily increasing in size and popularity, is fairly untapped as far as gaming goes. It’s awesome to see someone taking full advantage of this operating system and handheld gaming.
I’m certainly very interested to see what else develops – I’m just shocked this hasn’t happened sooner.
I’ve seen various emulators and roms available for Android, but nothing quite on this magnitude.
Can this be called a true Android gaming experience?
It’s hard to say right now. So far its just an interesting idea that has yet to be implemented in the US.
I don’t think it can be implemented in the US since the design is similar to the Vita
Legally no. It’s essentially stealing the design of the vita, but hopefully this paves the way for other developers and publishers to make a similar unit.
Ouya, anyone?
My thoughts exactly. If it can be done on a console the size of a rubix cube, it can easily be done on a handheld. Somebody just needs to make a legal one that isn’t floating around the Chinese Black Market.
