I’m more concerned about how the whole concept of Goombas came about.
I often wonder that myself. I just imagine a bunch of immature game developers trying their damndest to put something sexual in the game.
I read up on Wikipedia that the two Japanese guys who originally developed the concept of the Mario Bros envisioned them venturing into the sewers and battling strange creatures. I guess it would make sense that mushrooms would be an item since they survive in wet, warm environments.
It’s that or the sexual repression in Japanese culture has finally created something more bizarre than tentacle hentai.
I imagine a bunch of nasty sludge and slimy enemies in the sewers. Not turtles and brown feet. I think they should make a modern, dark version of the original concept.
If Paper Mario taught me anything, it is that Goomba’s do have genders lol.
I like to imagine they are just asexual and reproduce through an elaborate decomposition process.
Sorry buddy, Shane’s right. I’ve played Paper Mario and well and there are definitely a male and female Goombas… that, or those games just got a lot weirder.
How do we know those Goombas just weren’t cross dressers? Just because something has a pink now.doesnt make it female.
