Microsoft is having a rather awesome promotion right now. If you’ve had an Xbox Live account since it’s inception 10 years ago, Microsoft is surprising you with a free limited edition Xbox 360, which I must say looks very slick. It’s unsure right now how many consoles are going to be given away, but I’m sure nobody is complaining about a free Xbox.
โWe are celebrating the 10th anniversary of Xbox Live by conducting special promotions for our members worldwide and today we began to surprise a select number of our loyal 10 year Xbox Live members in the U.S. with special edition anniversary consoles. These consoles were created for a special promotion and will not be available at retail locations.โ
It’s always a good feeling to see a large company supporting it’s early adopters. We tip our hats off to you Microsoftย and wish Xbox Live another ten happy years!
I’m kind of assuming that they did the cost estimate and realized they could do this. I’m curious on what restrictions they are putting on this and what the guts are in this version of the dude-bro box. I wonder if you had to have had an active subscription for ten years… I hate to be negative, but this does seem over nice.
I don’t know the decided hard drive size they are including, but they are also throwing in a Kinect.
That’s just craziness man!
I was just discussing this with friends the other day (Only just realised what the large number on the gamertags meant DO’H) But I was looking through my friends list and I have a couple 9 years I’m an 8 year XBOX Liver myself but I can’t imagine there being a large number of 10 users out there though. Pretty nice of them to do this anyway ๐
Seriously, 10 years is a long time. I feel old for almost having 6 years on mine. I bought the original xbox when it first came out, doesn’t that count for something?
