There are only a few short days until the year 2012 comes to an end. There have been some phenomenal releases in gaming, not just from the big developers, but the indie guys as well. This week’s round of Nerd Wars! is going to be a tough one to call. We’ve gone through and selected some of the best reviewed games of the year and we need your help deciding which of them was the best game of 2012.

Wow! Where’s Dishonored?
A few of us played Dishonored. We thought it was a good game, but we were by no means blown away by it.
That’s ok. Diablo 3 is pretty damn fun!!
I think that’s one thing we can all agree on! I’ve had a hankering to start playing again. Any takers?
Can I nominate SimCity 4 Delixe Edition? This 5$ Holiday Steam sale game took up all my time this holiday.
Those Steam sales can be rough on the wallet, that’s for sure! I missed Sim City 4, I used to play the other ones a ton when I was a wee lad.

There was a lot of nerd rage surrounding this game, but regardless of what any dork days, it was easily one of the best games of the year.
Totally, I had account troubles like, 3 times… not to be a nerd, or is that the point? 😛
First off, there’s nothing wrong with being a nerd haha, but yeah I do agree with many of the complaints about server and account issues. Those were just really small issues in the general scope of the game however.
Where is Mass Effect 3?!?! That would have had my vote for sure.
There was too much negative press associated Mass Effect 3. The game’s ending was so bad they had to release a secondary one, which most fans still didn’t appreciate. It was a solid RPG, but not one of our favorites for the year.
