Another exciting reveal from Nintendo Direct today was The Wonderful 101 gameplay trailer. Behold over a minute of zany, super hero-esque, Pikmin-esque mayhem! This is one of the best looking Wii U exclusives so far.
[youtube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lYgb7CeRYJE]I got a chance to play this at the Wii U Experience in Seattle and I had a ton of fun with it. It’s as outrageous as it looks in every way. You basically take control of a group of super hero Pikmin as they morph into giant fists and swords and fight giant robots. The city is crumbling and exploding around you and your main objective is to gather as many citizens as you can to take down these evil robots. It’s shaping up to be a pretty phenomenal release.

I’ve been interested in this game for a long time now, hearing just tidbits of information from different podcasters who somehow found it in the corner of E3. Nice to see it may actually get some attention before release now.
I was lucky enough to get a solid block of hands-on time with the game. It’s easily one of the best uses of the Wii U controller so far.

I registered for the Wii U Experience when it came to Seattle. Got to play the Wii U for a few hours a couple months before it’s release.
I’d never heard of this game before now and it looks really quirky. Sadly, no Wii U likely means I won’t play it.
Well I think now’s the perfect time to pick up a 3DS. Plus, you pretty have to get on for the new Pokemon in October.
