When the special edition Pikachu 3DS XL was original announced as a Japan-only release, I was super jelly. But, just when I thought we would never get any of the cool special edition handhelds over in the US, the team at the official Pokemon Facebook page started teasing the announcement of some Pikachu related news coming tomorrow.
While there is no confirmation of what this news may be, many people are speculating that Nintendo will be revealing the launch of this blistering yellow 3DS in America. Especially after the use of this very same 3DS in a US commercial for Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Gates to Infinity.
[youtube http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=DRAs-tBJtbc]This is potentially some huge news for you Pika-maniacs out there. So what’s the verdict? Would you shell out $200 for this bad boy? I know I would, in a heartbeat.
cant wait for tomorrow!
Come on Nintendo! Big money, no whammies! I better set aside the $200 just to be on the safe said.

I would buy it! Too bad I’m European. Also, I recently spotted a guy in the train PLAYING ON THIS DS… How? T_T
Well hopefully Nintendo is nice and gives the whole world a chance to buy this. And to be honest, you probably should have mugged that guy on the train and stole the 3DS.

Reblogged this on I just wrote a blog and commented:
Not sure how i feel about carrying a huge 3DSXL with Pikachu’s mug on it, but I am excited to see it in a commercial. And speaking of that commercial, it reminds me of those after school commercials of yesteryear.
Oh it totally reminds me of the classic commercials from the 90s. Just a couple of kids showing off their ‘rad’ new game.

haha, yeah, they could have easily used that for a Gameboy game and it would still make sense..
It’s so cute! I’m almost tempted to buy it myself, in fact, I think I had a limited edition Torchic Orange Gameboy Advance SP when I was a kid.
As you can tell, we love orange. That sounds like a rad gameboy advance.
