Yesterday Atlus USA released a new English language trailer for Shin Megami Tensei IV!
I’m thoroughly tempted to go pick up a 3DS right now. While pricey at $50, the game comes with a lot of extras. The trailer was also a nice/stinging reminder that I never got that far into Nocturne, might be time to bust out the old PS2. Shin Megami Tensei IV comes out July 16, 2013.

I really wish I had a 3DS to play this. I’m sure this could have easily been a DS game by the look of it. This and Etrian Odyssey IV are the only games compelling me towards the infernal Nintendoid Handheld 3D Mind Control Device. Atlus should stop making all these game series I really enjoy so I don’t have to bankrupt myself.
The 3DS has building an incredibly solid lineup. It’s hard to ignore all the great games on that infernal handheld at this point. I made an early purchase and was less than pleased with the lineup, but Nintendo has slowly, but surely been renewing my faith.
The real question is what could possibly be stopping you from picking up a 3DS…you know you want it xD
I’ve been trying to convince that maniac to get a 3DS forever now.
I preordered the game the moment I realized it existed. But this trailer actually wasn’t that inspiring to me. Not sure why, but I just wasn’t feeling it. I’m still ridiculously pumped for the game though.

I think any game in this series will get people amped up. It’s got a cult following and people have literally killed each other over arguments about the story. Ok, so I made that last bit up, but I wouldn’e be surprised!
I’ve only ever played Persona 4 and Devil Survivor 1 & 2 in the SMT grouping… nothing from this specific series. But I feel like they are all gold.
