Blizzard Tickles Teases Us with Reaper of Souls

Reaper of Souls
Today Blizzard launched a quaint teaser site for what is undoubtedly the first expansion to Diablo 3. Many not-so-subtle hints suggest it will be called “Reaper of Souls.”

Right now it’s not a very exciting website. There is a large entrance that leads to blackness and a cryptic message that reads;

Death, at last, shall spread it’s wings over all.” – Book of Tyrael

The name “Reaper of Souls” is located in the URL and in the copyright information at the bottom of the page. If this isn’t the name of the next expansion, I will eat an entire stick of deodorant (please don’t hold me to that). Fans have been eagerly awaiting new content for quite some time and this news couldn’t have come soon enough.

  1. I am more excited for “The Dark Bellow” for World of Warcraft. That’s me being honest. I’ve heard several people not be pleased with Diablo. DRM, Leah, the replayability, and the Auction House were some of the negative responses.
    Blizzard did a good job with Heart of the Swarm(from what I’ve heard) and Pandaria was great(I love rep grinds) but Diablo was a let down apparently…
    All the Blizzard made games are addictive. So be careful when you start.

    1. Diablo 3 is absolutely worth playing. It’s an amazing game. Granted, it has it’s issues. It’s fairly short, the online auction house sort of ruined rare drops, and there is little endgame content, but that didn’t stop me from putting almost 200 hours into it. I’ve been eagerly waiting for an expansion since June… of last year haha

      I was never a bug WoW guy. I didn’t have that group of friends who played it, so I messed around with it for a little bit, but just kind of lost interest.

      1. Honestly, I hate the term “gamer.” It’s so simple. It’s like classifying anyone who watches movies as a “Filmer.” Video games have become a vast medium for artistic expression and I will never call myself a “gamer” because frankly, it just sounds childish.

      2. Oh yes… It’s so goood. I think it’s still on Netflix. If you can find it, I would totally recommend giving it a watch.

      3. Very well! I actually have Netflix so that will be on my list of things to watch. After Digimon season 2 of course.
