Bethesda recently released it’s annual Christmas card. These cards have traditionally revealed cryptic information about all of Bethesda’s scheduled releases for the upcoming year. We must have been very naughty in 2013 because it looks as if there is no indication of Fallout 4 coming in 2014.
There are three obvious titles being promoted in this image. The blood-soaked, barbwire wrapped, vault is a nod to the upcoming survival-horror release, The Evil Within. The Robo-Pooch is a reference to Wolfenstein: New Order and the festive gold-plated Ouroboros honors the scheduled release of The Elder Scrolls Online. Initially some skeptics believed that the dog and vault were actually subtle references to the possibility of a Fallout 4 release in 2014.
Hopefully next year we see a cute, little vault boy ornament on that Christmas tree, but until then we must be patient and give Bethesda time to create. Happy Holidays everyone!
Santa is an asshole.
He does what he can. He has a glandular problem.
A bit sad, but I’m sure ESO will tide some of us over until then. Mostly I’m looking forward to exploring the world as part of a paladin + thief duo (distracting enemies while their treasure is being stolen is my idea of fun).
I’d rather play Skyrim for an extra 600 hours before I touch the ESO again :]
You’re a madman!, but I respect your decision.
Lol. Have you played the beta? I thought it was bad. There’s very little Elder Scrolls in this game.
I thought it was decent. Like I said before, it’s nothing groundbreaking, but with a couple of good buddies I could imagine it being really fun.
I can’t see myself paying a monthly subscription for that game. I have Guild Wars 2 and few other mmo’s that I play with my friends so i’m good :]
Monthly subscriptions are the worst. I had a lot of fun with Guild Wars 2, but everyone I was playing with switched back to WoW when Mists of Pandaria dropped. Never coupd get into WoW.

Same here. I never liked WoW. Right now Path of Exile, Guild Wars 2, and Blade and Soul are my top MMO’s.
Ah, I haven’t gotten into the beta yet =( …I’ll still give it a chance though.
I’ve put about 20 hours in the beta then called it quits.
I’m pretty excited for ESO. I played the beta and it didn’t necessarily rock my socks off, but playing Elder Scrolls with my buddies has always been a dream of mine.
Yeah, getting to form a party with friends is the only reason I stuck with FF14 for 2-3 months despite it being a bit boring. I’m sure I’ll have plenty of fun with ESO, even if it’s no skyrim time-sink.
Not too surprising. I mean, we’ve only been LEAKED script pages for voice-over CASTING CALLS. I wouldn’t be too surprised if we didn’t get it in 2015, either.
Still, move it along, Damnit! I want to do some vault diving in Bahston!
I’d prefer if they took a nice long while to perfect Fallout 4. Fallout 3 was one of my all-time favorite games and I’d like to see much more from the franchise. I’m hoping we see a whole new engine with the next game.
Deathclaws rendered in the Snowdrop Engine….
That would be beautiful and horrifying at the same time. The Division is going to rock my socks off.
I can’t wait, but I must. I would much rather wait if it means I get a better experience…but my I can’t afford to pay for my gum quota much longer. Modders! I need you! ASAP!
*Deskflip* ARE YOU FU**ING KIDDING US?? Bethesda KISS MY FU**ING ASS YOU CO**TEASING PR*CK L*VING DOUCHENOZZLE GUZZING PUSSACKS! HOW THE HELL CAN YOU DO THIS TO US WITHOUT THE CONSIDERATION OF A BURGERKING COUPON BEING INVOLVED AND PLACED ON THE BEDSIDE AFTER REAMING YOUR FANBASE! AAAAAAAAAAAAARGH! *DESKFLIP “AGAIN” *
I’m sensing some frustration here…
Meh, I think I need to switch to decaff or up my Mello Yello Dosage 😉
