Crash and Burn

Crash and Burn

Remember when Crash Bandicoot was a legitimate contender in the platforming circuit? The original Playstation offered many great titles featuring this furry hero and it seemed like he would live on forever as a staple in the gaming universe. Things took a terrible turn when Naughty Dog sold the rights to the series and now Crash spends his days clawing for any attention he can get.

    1. I loved the first three Crash Bandicoots and I would even say that Crash Team Racing was better than a few Mario Kart titles, but Ratchet and Clank was pretty awesome.

    1. The first several games were amazing! Then Naughty Dog dropped the series on it’s head like some neglected child.

  1. He was magnificiently awesome, it was a shame he went down the gutter.

    ASSHOLES!!!

    ASS!!

    HOLES!!!

    That line’s gold! 😀

    1. It makes me sad every time I look at PsOne collection. I hope one day Naughty Dog returns to the series and shows it the love it deserves!

  2. I still have my copies of CTR and Crash Bandicoot 2. Once the games hit the PS2 and the appeal of games widened, Crash got turned into a moneymaker for nostalgia’s sake. Anything after 3 I just avoided. Shame, because the music for 2 was catchy.

    1. The second one was always my favorite and it definitely had some funky jams. I still get that music stuck in my head to this day. Once Activision got a hold of the series, they just beat it death.

    1. It was hard to believe that Sony let him go in the first place. I know Naughty Dog wanted to move on to other projects, but you think they would have fought to find another solid developer.
