Have you ever been playing a video game and found yourself relating strangely well with one of the characters. Has it ever gotten to the point where they say things you might say or act in ways that you might act? I think we’ve all experienced this to some degree in our lives and for this week’s round of Nerd Wars! we want to know who your gaming doppelganger is.
[youtube http://youtu.be/aD-SvT77fhk]For someone who lives in New York, has a thick stache, and works as a plumber, it would be safe to say your gaming doppelganger is probably Mario. Maybe some of you like to consume anything you can get your mouth around. If that’s the case, you’re probably a Kirby clone. The possibilities are endless. You’re only restricted by the power of your imagination.
[youtube http://youtu.be/qTn7xtVsE6U]Feel free to have some fun with. The more absurd the comparison, the better. This a more abstract round of Nerd Wars!, but it’ll be hilarious to see the answers you folks deliver. Let the doppling begin!
I’m a brunette, female and into archaeology and ancient history. Can I be Lara Croft please? ;-p
(There’s some wishful thinking for you)
That sounds like a perfecr fit! I have to ask though, are you classic Lara or gritty reboot Lara?
-Mileson
Classic, of course. Reboot Lara’s a little too whiny for my taste. She may be more human with real feelings and all that but I prefer the no-nonsense sociopath of the older games. 😉
Very well said. Classic Lara had some serious gumpshun and that’s something that can never be recreated.

not only do I get that feeling in games but in animated series and comics as well OwO
I don’t remember a character looking a lot like me, but I definitely found Milla from Tales of Xillia to be great as an avatar for me in that game. She said what I wanted to say (and was, in fact, often telling the screen at the time), and always moved the story along (another thing some main characters can’t seem to do, much to my frustration). Plus, she quotes books and is some kind of aerial magic swordswoman…
That last one still needs to be added to my list of skills.
Well with a little practice I’m sure you’d be a fantastic magical aerial swordswoman… Whatever that is exactly haha.
I look like The lead character from StarHawk….
With the crazy glowing eyes and everything?
At parties sometimes….
Well then it sounds like we need to part sometime.
*Party… that was the key word there.
Eh, I don’t have a doppleganger unfortunately. I don’t look like any character… But if we go on personality I would be somewhere between GLaDOS from the Portal series, and Deadpool due to never showing my face on teh internetz, and I’m just an overly sarcastic person.
Everybody loves GLaDOS. That robot is so hilariously evil.
Alice from Alice: Madness Returns.
Well now I’m just a teeny bit scared…
Lol. Well alike in the personality & appearance aspect. Not the rage traits & all. Well, maybe a little. 😛
I will have to watch my back the next time I’m in Wonderland…
(XD)
huh
Sabin, from FF6! I am a younger brother to a self described “ladies man”, and I definitely became more built than he did!
Haha, that’s awesome!
Unfortunately, my gaming double is the kid from Mutant Mudds. I looked just like him when I was younger: Blond hair, dumb haircut, goofy glasses.
I’m sad now… 😦
Hey, that kid was a boss. He was taking dowm mutants like it was his job. He just happened to look like the awkward kid from The Christmas Story.
