The new Tomb Raider is surprisingly graphic. Some of the death sequences are actually on par with the Dead Space series. In today’s edition of The Daily Clip, I highlight some of the more terrifying deaths of Lara Croft.
Don’t feel too bad for Lara. The video has a happy ending… well as happy as blasting out the back of a man’s skull can be.
I actually look forward to dying in this game. Watching the death sequences has become something I go out of my way to do. Sure, one might say it’s a little morbid, but I find it entertaining as hell.
We hope you enjoyed today’s edition of The Daily Clip. Be sure to check back every day for more great videos straight from our Xbox One Game DVR.
Is it just me, or does she seem weaker in this game? She’s always stumbling all over the place and running away, instead of kicking everybody in the face.
I just realized that I rated my own comment. I meant to give a thumbs up to the post, my apologies… /runs away
Hey, it’s all good. You gotta love yourself. That’s what’s most important!
Hahaha! I just want to love the post! I was successful on the second try.
Well I appreciate the love and your level of confidence. “I think this comment deserves a thumb up.” said me with a slight smile.
Thank you, thank you /bows
Yeah, I’ve definitely noticed that. Every time she jumps she just collapses to the ground like a pansy. She still kicks some serious ass, but in a more sensitive way… If that makes any sense.
You have to look at this game and remember it’s a reboot. So, on the timeline of the old Tomb Raider games, it would be like Revelations where that cranky old guy took you through that level long tutorial teaching you how to jump and crawl into holes. Anyway, the point is the events of the new game were the new “birth” of what becomes Tomb Raider. So yeah, she stumbles and seems like a pansy sometimes but she gets pretty badass by the end and even starts dropping f-bombs. I think Square Enix did a good job with the reboot and I hope they plan to making another one in the near future.
I can totally understand and respect that. I appreciate the progression of Lara as a character in this game, I’m just use to the inhuman action hero from the previous games.
True. I do miss some of the crazy things you could get away with doing to Lara but it is interesting to see her more realistically done.
This stood out to me the most when I played through it when it originally came out. The game is surprisingly graphic, but also really brutal. Definitely some moments where I cringed, but I thought it was a welcome addition and made the Tomb Raider universe more believable instead of cartoony as it had always been.
The previous Tomb Raider games definitely had a lighter tone. This reboot is dark and gritty, which I really do appreciate. I kind of wish there was still the occasional demon or monster, but what can you do?
Oh yeah, the deaths are brutal in Tomb Raider. I WILL PROTECT YOU, LARA!! *watches her fall in to the ocean*
lol at least you tried. Load save data and try again. Why wasn’t real life so easy. I’d make tons of save points like i’m playing an rpg.
I know, right?? I’d be doing all sorts of crazy shit and just reloading my last save file IRL.
That was pretty shocking. I’m waiting for her to be killed off forever, hopefully soon!
Awww…. that’s sad. She just made her epic comeback.
I have never been a huge fan of the Tomb Raider series. This was some of the first footage of the game I have seen, and I have to say that I am totally surprised by how rad those deaths looked!(morbid, I know) I am actually kind of kicking myself for not playing this game…yet.
It’s an excellent reboot. Give it a shot!
This is the first time I’ve played it, despite countless requests from friends and I’m really digging it. The platforming is really solid and the brutal deaths are just icing on the Lara cake.
watching you play makes me kinda want to get an xbox one. 😦
Well we’d love to have you join us on the brobox!

I made plans to get the PS4 first because of infamous, but who knows plans could change or I could get both 🙂
Holy crap! It’s like someone remade Demonophobia in high-res 3D D:
