2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil Not Coming to Xbox One, Playstation 4

EA Sports confirmed an April 15th release date for 2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil on the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3, but when asked why it wouldn’t be heading to the new consoles, they responded via Twitter basically stating the audience wasn’t big enough to warrant a full release.

Next-gen console owners who already own FIFA 2014 will still get to experience some World Cup action, with a “range of engaging content, promotions and tournament within FIFA Ultimate Team so that those fans can experience the World Cup in unique and fun ways.”

  1. To me the WC2014 could easily just be paid for DLC on next-gen. Obviously this wouldn’t make the money a separate game might, but the game physics etc are pretty much the same.

    1. They’re adding World Cup content to the FUT mode of FIFA 14, so I’m not sure if it’s free DLC for World Cup or you actually have to pay for it. Either way, new gen consoles are getting something if they already own FIFA 14.
