Videogames have a pretty let’s say… spotty record when it comes to movie adaptations. Every time one is are announced, it’s cause for alarm and now we may have Mighty No. 9 heading to the silver screen or pixel screen.
Ep Daily interviewed Tim Carter from Contradiction films who confirmed that the company is currently working with Kenji Inafune on a live action version of Mighty No. 9. No real details to speak of yet, but we’ll keep you posted. Mr. Carter also revealed that a Dead Rising series is in development which is sounding pretty sweet.
There seems to be a lot of the typical “We’re super happy glad to be working on this and it’s gonna be super super good you’ll see!” which you get from basically every pre-production interview from every videogame adaptation. On the other hand, this is the same team that worked on Mortal Kombat: Legacy, which while I never watched, did get good reviews for the most part.

As long as it’s not as bad as Resident Evil then i’ll attempt to watch it.
Sometimes I think you really have to work to make something as a bad as the Resident Evil movies. Just some kind of spite for humanity itself.
Lol. Or lack of work to make a movie that bad.
