Patrick Soderlund, executive vice president of EA Studios, stated earlier today that the Xbox 360 version of Titanfall will be pushed back two weeks until 3/25 to allow Bluepoint more time to apply the finishing touches. The Xbox One and PC versions are still scheduled to release on time on 3/11, so if you’ve already pre-ordered your copy for those formats, don’t sweat it.
This pretty much sums up the entire post from Patrick Soderlund, but if you want to read the full article, it’s right here.
I was considering the 360 release, but I think this sells me on getting the PC version
The PC version will definitely be a superior product, no doubt. If you don’t have an Xbox One, I’d recommend going the PC route myself.
I cannot imagine the 360 version will be anywhere up to snuff compared to the PC and XONE versions. It’s just so old, and it looks like so much is going on in that game. I really can only imagine the 360 delay is so Bluepoint can complete whatever dark pact it needs to finish in order to get a good framerate on this product.
Some cross platform multiplayer titles, like Ghosts or Battlefield 4, aren’t that massive of a leap graphically though. Granted Titanfall was made for next-gen and is being scaled down for the 360, but all the footage now from the beta has limited textures to make a smaller download.. or so says Respawn.
