Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes Price Reduced for Xbox One and PS4, Gets Additional Features and DLC Code

Originally priced at $10 above its last-gen counterpart, the current-gen release of Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes will release on March 18th at the same price across the board – $29.99.

Ground Zeroes will act as the prequel for the upcoming Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain and will allow you to carry some of your progress forward in to the new title, such as VIP’s or POW’s obtained.

Buying Ground Zeroes early will come with exclusive DLC for The Phantom Pain, granting extra resources for your Mother Base. According to IGN, the Mother Base is an integral part of The Phantom Pain and will be introduced to players in Ground Zeroes.

Ground Zeroes will also feature off-screen support in the form of a “Second-screen iDROID app, which replicates Big Boss’ in-game communication/map device. Downloadable via iOS, Android and Xbox Smart Glass systems for free, the iDROID app syncs the main action to a secondary device. Users can call up maps, summon air support, or play any of the cassette tapes found throughout Camp Omega.

Ground Zeroes is still rumored to only last between 2-4 hours, but does the current-gen price drop entice you to buy it a little more? With features that carry over in to The Phantom Pain, which is going to be a day-one purchase without a doubt, I think $30 is a good price for the prequel.
