Which one of them stands out as the perfect fit for your life? Sure, some of them may be far too intense for the average person, but maybe you just live an intense life.
Final Fantasy 7 and 10!
Final Fantasy 7 is definitely a classic. I was always pretty fond of 8 too.
I have to choose just one? My favorite game soundtracks right off the bat are the ones from Sonic 3 & Knuckles, Mass Effect 1, and Final Fantasy VIII.
Fantastic choice with Final Fantasy 8! I totally agree. I loved that game and that soundtrack always pops in my head randomly.
Liberi Fatali changed my life.
It’s sooo epic!
I’m with Neo above me. I have to choose just one?
Well I already answered on Twitter, but TWEWY for sure. After that? Probably Nier, or one of the XIII/XIII-2/LR soundtracks. Some of the songs really get me sobbing and they’re perfect for those moments where I’m spoon deep in a pint of Ben and Jerry’s. You know, past the point of no return.
Life is full of tough decisions… I’m just here to help guide you through them.
Random side-tangent: Have you seen the amazing looking “Core” ice cream flavors for Ben and Jerry’s? I’m aboutsta gain like 10 pounds.
I know, right? I’m going to get some major diabeetus.
Has to be Sonic 2. Every track is beautiful 🙂
Absolutely! What a magical soundtrack.
Man, that’s a tough question! Top 5 have gotta be (in no particular order…
– Soul Blazer
– Final Fantasy VI
– Chrono Trigger
– Earthbound
– The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past
(With an honorable mention to Ys: Books I and II)
Chrono Trigger does have an amazing soundtrack.
A Link to the Past would definitely be on my list. It’s got one of the most memorable soundtracks of all time!
The new soundtrack in A Link Between Worlds was really good, especially those remastered classic songs.
Oh I totally agree. I was loving the remastered classics. It took me back!
You must’ve read my mind or something by putting up SH2. That is definitely the soundtrack to my life. I still listen to it often. Alice: Madness Returns comes in close second. After all, I did name my blog “CardCastlesInTheSky”
I LOVE the SH2 soundtrack. It’s one of the best non-traditional soundtracks of all time. The music is beautiful, but still remains contemporary.
It seems to take you into some strange little dreamland… 🙂
Though I really should pick Crazy Taxi with the amount of amazing punk rock on offer, I think I’ll choose the Mass Effect games, the music from which is just gorgeous whatever the mood.
Mass Effect has a fantastic score throughout and that’s a pretty impressive feat for such a massive series of games.
Aw, man. Can we pick what our life SHOULD sound like or what we want it to?
I would want my BGM to be from Chrono Cross but most likely it’d be something lame… Like, Farming Simulator 2013.
THE SOUNDTRACK FOR FARMING SIMULATOR 2013 SHREDSSSS!!!! Maybe… I honestly have no idea what is sounds like, but I’d imagine there is a lot of steel string acoustic guitar and tambourine.
Super Metroid and Fable, without question. 🙂
Super Metroid was super rocking! I always love finding the metal covers of those songs on YouTube.
Stemage did an amazing Metal Metroid album covering the original up to the first Prime. Amazing stuff.
I would have to say the soundtrack from Soul Reaver: The Legacy of Kain always pops in my head when thinking about VGS. That and I once used the Skyrim soundtrack to help put my son to sleep at night 😉
I wish it would be something memorable and epic, like Bastion, but I’d settle for The Best of Rick James.
I’m going with either the Gitaroo Man soundtrack or the soundtrack to any of the Katamari Damacy games.
