Alien: Isolation Release Date Announced

Alien Isolation

Alien: Isolation is promising to renew our faith and fear in the Alien franchise and now we officially have a release date. I know what I’ll be playing this Halloween.

Fans can look forward to crying in fear when Alien: Isolation releases for Xbox One, Xbox 360, Ps4, PS3, and PC on October 7th, 2014. That’s right, just a few weeks before Halloween. October is always a huge month for survival horror games and with its new focus on scares, it seems like a completely appropriate launch date for this refreshing new take on the franchise.

Alien: Isolation promises (I know, we all heard the promises about Colonial Marines…) to deliver a genuinely horrifying game that disregards the approach of previous games. The game ditches the action-heavy focus of its predecessors and pits Ripley’s daughter against one deadly Xenomorph. You won’t spend your time blasting countless enemies into gooey bits, instead you’ll spend your time cowering in a corner with your motion tracking praying you don’t see a blip.

Let’s all keep our fingers crossed and hope Creative Assembly finally gets an Alien game right. Colonial Marines was an enormous disappointment and a complete waste of four years, but if you’re still interested in suffering through that turd of a game, select Gamestop locations are selling new copies for $5.99. I know because I snagged a copy the other day.

      1. I love survival horror also. I still love the old resident evil games but when I try to get new age gamers to go back and appreciate those games the controllers kill it for them… they don’t hold up well but I do love them lol

      2. Oh yeah! It’s like trying to navigate a tank through a mansion full of zombies, haha. I’m still a huge fan of the original Resident Evils and Silent Hill. It’s what I grew up with.
