During today’s Nintendo Direct, Nintendo focused on the highly anticipated brawler Super Smash Bros. for Wii U and 3DS. Fans have been flooding their inboxes for months, practically begging for this addition to the roster! Ladies and gentlemen.. Solid Snake! Er, wait.. *opens piece of paper just handed to him*.. hmm, Solid Snape? Ah crap.

Reggie Fils-Amie seemed glowing and ecstatic, eager to break the good news to fans during his announcement. He was quoted as saying “We here at Nintendo always do our best to give the fans what they want. As we inch closer to the release of Super Smash Bros, the amount of demand for one specific character has not only tripled, but we’ve received three times the amount of requests. I hope your bodies are ready, because today I am proud to announce the newest addition to the Smash Bros roster.. Solid Snape!

After the conclusion of his announcement, I immediately sent him a Tweet to confirm Solid Snape as a playable character. The Regginator didn’t take long to reply, stating that “Somewhere along the lines there must have been a typo that one of our developers didn’t catch, so they just ran with it.

I wonder how long it’s going to take Nintendo to nerf Solid Snape’s one-hit kill Avada Kedavra (don’t read that out loud)?
