Raiden Might Be a Playable Character in the New Super Smash Bros.

Raiden

A voice actor recently shared his thoughts on playing the voice of Raiden in the upcoming Super Smash Bros. games for Wii U and 3DS, but he didn’t really give us any juicy details.

Voice actor Reuben Langdon had this to say about playing Raiden:

“Raiden was always a character that I had wanted to play. I did end up playing him on Super Smash Bros; so I did end up playing him eventually. Not to the extent that he is in the other games.”

It’s still very unclear whether Raiden is a playable charater or just another assists trophy, but we can all  hope and dream for this cyber-ninja. Raiden’s insane speed and eccentric swordplay would make him a fantastic addition to the Super Smash Bros. roster.

    1. I honestly can’t think of a single hame with Raiden that ever made it to a Nintendo system… It would be quite odd if he did end up being a playable character, but if he’s a trophy, does that confirm Snake?

    2. Aside from the originals on the NES, the only MGS game to appear on a Nintendo console was Twin Snakes on the Gamecube, and that was just a re-make of the PSone Metal Gear Solid. It would definitely be odd if Raiden made it to SSB.

      1. It’d make a little more sense if he was an assist. He’s more popular than Grey Fox at this point, I would say, so he’d make a sensible replacement.
