Updates Coming to inFAMOUS: Second Son

Now if only we could play rodeo on that helicopter...

While inFAMOUS: Second Son only recently released a few weeks ago on the PS4, developers at Sucker Punch have already been preparing to implement some small changes in the coming weeks based off requests and complaints from players.

None of these changes are huge, ground-breaking renovations, but for the most part, just small details that players have requested to see in the game. In a way, it’s actually rather encouraging to know that Sucker Punch is listening to feedback about their game and is keen on doing what they can for the gamers. (After this article, I’m planning on taking to Twitter to request a no-shirt option for Delsin. Just to see his tattoos, I swear.) Besides fixing key bugs and glitches in the game, here’s what Sucker Punch is getting ready to add to the game.

Three changes have already been announced. The first one is the ability to change the time from day to night (‘Rainy Seattle’ is rumored to be one of those options), one of their most popular requests. The second is the ability to turn the HUD on-and-off, mostly for those taking screenshots, but also for those who want a bit more of a challenge in the game. The final confirmed change is the ability to lower and lock the frame rate to 30FPS. While I myself love the unlocked frame rate, many gamers have requested the ability to lock the frame rate as the game’s automatic switching from 30FPS and 60FPS can be noticeable at times. I haven’t noticed it myself, but I was probably too busy wondering what would happen if I did an orbital drop off of the Space Needle to notice.

I myself would love to see the paper powers become available to Delsin, after completing the first part of the Paper Trail side missions. PS4 gamers, what changes would you request to be added to inFAMOUS: Second Son? Comment below!

  1. I’ve only put about 6 hours in to Second Son so far, and maybe I just can’t find this option anywhere because I’m lazy, but I’d like an option to zoom out on the map. It’s a bit too close for my liking really, but that’s literally my only complaint right now.

    1. Yeah the zoom on the map is annoying. I’ve run into that myself, especially when I’m trying to scan for that last mission I need in an area to liberate it or looking to see where the next story mission or Paper Trail is

      1. Indeed, it sucks. Another thing I think is missing is the soundtrack. For taking place in Seattle, I was really expecting an awesome 90’s era grunge soundtrack, but nothing about the game’s soundtrack has been memorable so far. That’s not really adding to the game though, I know. I’m just being picky.

      2. I did enjoy the guys playing blues on the corners with the electric guitars. Delsin actually starts rocking out when you stand near one long enough

      3. Yeah, I left him idle to grab a drink and came back to him playing drums on his legs. I like how the street musicians are actually playing the music and not just randomly strumming along.

      4. Same. And that’s a Seattle thing too. If you go to Pike Place IRL you’ll see musicians on every corner with every type of instrument
