Minecraft 360 Edition Saves Will Transfer to Xbox One Version Upon Release

After initially stating that our Minecraft 360 Edition saves wouldn’t transfer over to the Xbox One, it seems that Mojang and Microsoft have finally found a way to make it all work.

Confirmed in a tweet late last night, Xbox’s Phil Spencer has confirmed that the ridiculous amount of time you’ve poured in to Minecraft 360 Edition will not be wasted.

There is still no official release date for the Xbox One version of Minecraft, but along with the save data transfer, I’m hoping for some sort of discount as well for 360 Edition owners to upgrade. Hell, Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn did it for free.
