Chilean retailer Zmart Games slipped a listing for the Mass Effect Trilogy, and under normal circumstances this would be okay. The listing however, was for the PS4 and Xbox One. Woops?
Nothing has been confirmed by Microsoft, Sony or Bioware/EA, and the Zmart Games listing has already been pulled, but seeing as how last-gen ports on current-gen consoles is now a thing, I wouldn’t put it passed them. They are the new HD Collection after all.
Would you pick up the Mass Effect Trilogy again on current-gen consoles? Personally, I’ve played through it on both the PS3 and Xbox 360, but I’d love to give it another go on the PS4 or Xbox One, especially being able to record footage and experience Mass Effect 3‘s multi-player all over again.

Money for a ME HD collection would leave my purse quicker than you can say “Assuming direct control”!
Exactly. Can’t talk, busy calibrating and that sort of thing.

So…what you are telling me is that I need to play through the PC version of the trilogy I just bought sooner rather than later???
Or do what most people do when they buy stuff from Steam, and forget it exists.
I don’t see the point of a current gen release. Surely by now everyone that wanted to play the games has already done so? Sure you can replay them, but I personally wouldn’t want to after the finale of 3.
The original Mass Effect had a lot of problems that people had to overlook to see the good of the storytelling and customization, so if Bioware could reformat the playstyle of the original game to streamline it more with the 2nd and 3rd installments, I’d be all for playing through it for a 3rd time.
Honestly, I was impressed enough with the upgrade that Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition and Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn received on the PS4 that I’m actually dying to see how the Mass Effect games will improve as well.
