What’s better than a free game? A great game! What’s better than a great game that’s free? Not much! If you plan on purchasing Mario Kart 8 and register it on Club Nintendo, you’ll receive a free download of 1 of 10 select Wii U titles!
I know you can just look at the header image up there and see what’s being offered for free, but here is the list —

Also confirmed for a North American release is the Mario Kart 8 Wii U console bundle, featuring the 32 GB deluxe console, a red Mario-themed Motion-Plus Wiimote, a red Mario-themed steering wheel, and a digital download of Mario Kart 8 — which is listed as a 4.9 GB download.
You’ll also notice that the game comes in the long-rumored red case and not the standard Wii U blue one. The Mario Kart 8 console bundle will run you $329.99, but since it appears that it includes a digital copy of the game, it wouldn’t qualify for the free game promotion.
And finally, the final 3 Mario Kart 8 racers were confirmed earlier today in a surprise Nintendo Direct. Baby Rosalina, Pink Gold Peach (similar to Metal Mario) and your very own Mii will be racing alongside various other Nintendo icons come May 30th.

Personally, I wish they’d go the Sonic & All-Stars Racing: Transformed route and include racers from all over the Nintendo universe, instead of just confining it to Mario canon. Especially after seeing how small of a download Mario Kart 8 is.

A very generous deal, especially when you consider that most Wii U owners are going to buy Mario Kart, whether they offer a free game or not.
Exactly! Going through that list, I have everything I want already. I did end up selling Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate though, so maybe I’ll pick that back up for the heck of it.

Wonderful 101 is my 2nd favorite game for the Wii U and definitely the most unique game on the console. Part superhero sim, part Pikmin, all insanity.
