PlayStation Updates Now Available

New updates have officially rolled out for not only the PS4, but the PS Vita and PlayStation App as well. Let’s take a look at some of the features included with the latest batch of patches.

Many of us have been waiting for this update to be available just for the SHAREfactory. With the 1.70 update we get goodies like pre-downloads for pre-ordered games from the PS Store, disabling HDCP for capturing, exporting captures to USB drives, and dimming the light bar on the Dualshock 4 as well.

Make sure you update your other devices. Firmware 3.15 for the Vita adds automatic pairing with the PS4. No more manual registration, just be on the same network and logged in to both devices with the same PSN account. You’ll also want to update the PlayStation App on your iOS or Android devices to the 1.70 version. Now you can get push notifications for things like game invites and friend request. You’ll even be able to update your profile picture directly from your device.

Feel free to read the official blog post while you download the 194MB update.
