Game Informer reported earlier today that Microsoft has confirmed they are reconfiguring the services tied to Xbox Live Gold, and will no longer require a Gold status subscription to use the popular streaming apps of Netflix and Hulu.
Of course you’ll still need a Netflix or Hulu subscription, but you will now be able to use the apps without an Xbox Live Gold membership. Both Nintendo and Sony have not required any form of membership to stream the apps on their consoles, so this will bring the Xbox 360 and Xbox One down to similar grounds and we can all just be friends again.

Just want to inform all folks who live outside US that Xbox is a great media Player. If you want to access Netflix and other streaming stations on your Xbox 360 you can use UnoTelly as I do to get around the geo block.
