What’s a better way to start your Friday than breaking news confirming Halo 5 on the Xbox One? I know, I couldn’t think of anything either.
“I’m happy to reveal that Halo 5: Guardians, the next installment in the legendary saga of the Master Chief, will launch on Xbox One in fall of 2015.“, writes 343 Industries GM, Bonnie Ross, over at Xbox Wire, finally confirming the game itself and giving us a narrowed-down launch window.
Their goal is to create something familiar while utilizing the full potential of the Xbox One, stating “Certainly there are some core elements carried over from prior games, but we’ve invested a huge effort in retooling our tech to take full advantage of the Xbox One‘s hardware and ecosystem to create worlds and experiences worthy of next-gen.”
More information on Halo 5: Guardians and the Halo TV series will be announced during E3 2014. As if you needed a reason to be hyped by this news, right? This is announcement is also a great way to soften the negative press surrounding the Xbox One‘s Kinect-less launch next month.
Where do you think 343 Industries is headed with the storyline?
