Metro 2033 and Metro: Last Light are being remastered and bundled together as Metro Redux for both current-gen consoles and PC. According to Total Xbox, the combo will be available for purchase this summer.
Deep Silver is describing the remaster as a “true director’s cut”, as they’ve put a year in to remastering both titles for their current gen debut. Being converted to the engine that built Last Light, Metro 2033 will see a significant upgrade in terms of graphics and content, as each level is being remastered and a day-night cycle is being added to the game. Last Light will also include all available DLC and a feature that allows you to check your watch.
And now for the part a majority of the press will focus on for publicity purposes only (and I suppose we’re guilty for even mentioning it), the Xbox One version will run at 60 FPS, but will run at a native 900p instead of 1080p like the PS4 and PC versions.
Metro Redux will be available for download at $24.99 per game, or bundled together as a physical retail release at $49.99.
