After yesterday’s Mortal Kombat X poster reveal, you’d think that all would be quiet on the Ed Boon front, right? Wrong. In reply to a fan’s tweet that stated they were happy for a new Mortal Kombat, but really wanted to see a new Injustice, Ed Boone didn’t tip toe around his answer — “Don’t be sad. In due time…. :)”.

Now I don’t know about you, but Injustice: Gods Among Us (and the Ultimate Edition that followed on the PS4) was an incredible fighting game. As much as I’d love to see Mortal Kombat X, I think I’m with the Twitter fan in wanting Injustice 2 just a little bit more. Unless, of course, they add Martian Manhunter or Cyborg Superman in to Mortal Kombat X, then to hell with it, I’m good either way.
