Dark Souls II: The Lost Crowns DLC Trilogy Starts in July

Dark Souls II fans have been eager for new content, and today Bandai Namco revealed a trailer for an upcoming trilogy of DLC entitled The Lost Crowns. Crown of the Sunken King, the first episode, will land on the Xbox 360 and PC first on July 22nd, followed by a PS3 release the next day.

Today’s trailer was more of a teaser than anything, and aside from confirming the name of each episode, we weren’t really told much about what we’ll be experiencing. Well, besides death. It is Dark Souls of course. During the trailer there is text that reads “It grows deeper still, the more flame you covet. The crowns hold the strength of lords from times long past.“, but what that means is anyone’s guess. If you fancy yourself a Dark Souls historian and want to explain it to us in the comments, we’d be eternally grateful.

Episode two will be titled Crown of the Iron King, while the trilogy will conclude with Crown of the Ivory King at some point later this year. As soon as a release date for either chapter is confirmed, we’ll be sure to keep you in the loop.
