Titanfall 2 Coming to PS4?

It’s safe to say that Titanfall is the backbone of the Xbox One right now, seeing as how it’s been the top selling game for two months in a row. Sure, some of those sales came from the Xbox 360 and PC versions, but the final sales figures did not include any digital sales or code redemptions for the Xbox One.

An article went up on Wall Street Journal earlier today — and we know they’re not a giant source of video game journalism — that highlighted the Xbox One and PS4 sales figures. In that article, Titanfall is mentioned as a major success for the Xbox One. It’s also mentioned that a source close to the project has confirmed that Titanfall 2 is currently in its planning stages and will also be making its way to the PS4. EA has declined to comment at this time, which may mean that another leak is out of the bag. Who knows at this point, right?

Here is the paragraph we’re referring to:

“Microsoft has benefited from the Xbox-exclusive shooting game “Titanfall” from Electronic Arts Inc., EA +0.20% which was the best-selling title of March and April in the U.S. But its follow-up game, which is in the planning stages, also will be available for the PS4, a person close to the development effort said. EA declined to comment.”

Now this doesn’t mean that Titanfall 2 would be a PS4 exclusive, rather that it would also release on the console. If the rumors are true, what do you think? Titanfall was a great game and it’s always a pity when consumers are penalized for supporting the console of their choice, so whatever gets more folks in to the game is good by me.
