Going beyond Netflix, Hulu, and Crackle, Sony will be making original content for PlayStation. Powers is the first series to come to the platform. It is based on a comic book series about homicide detectives that follow murders involving individuals with super powers. Sony told that the series is only in the casting state but promised that it will be available in December and the first episode will be free for all viewers.
This is part of Sony’s answer to Microsoft developing original content for its platforms. Sony also stated that original content will become another PS Plus perk but furthermore that the entire Powers series will be free for PS Plus members.
