It’s been six years since the last Rainbow Six game, and Ubisoft has decided that six years is enough. Today’s press conference showed us the first look at Rainbow Six Siege, the new title in the franchise.
The trailer shows us a high-tension situation, with two teams fighting over a hostage. Everything can be destroyed, which clearly plays a part in the strategies players will be implementing. The gameplay is inspired by counter-terrorism operations
No date has been set yet, but it promises to release in 2015 for Xbox One, PS4, and PC.
And as far as Rainbow Six Patriots goes, no word on whether or not this title has been cancelled. Some sources claim the game has been scrapped, while others claim it’s being rebuilt from the ground up. Either way, I’m more than happy to pick up Rainbow Six Siege instead.
