Nintendo is making a bold attempt to steal the spotlight from other game creation titles like Little Big Planet 3 and Project Spark with the announcement of Mario Maker for Wii U. Fans can finally create the Super Mario Bros. stages they’ve always dreamed of.
This rumored fantasy turned reality presents players with the freedom to design their very own Super Mario stages with an assortment of creation tools and objects from previous games. The Wii U gamepad acts as the primary interface and gives players full control of these objects, allowing them to adjust the height or length of green pipes and place coins or enemies. You can also switch from retro to modern HD graphics on the fly without sacrificing your current level design.
There isn’t an official release date as of yet, but the trailer confirmed a 2015 launch.
