Octodad: Dadliest Catch Getting Free DLC on PS4

Young Horses‘ beautifully chaotic indie gem Octodad: Dadliest Catch will be receiving a free batch of DLC on the PS4 in the near future. Entitled Octodad Shorts, it’ll include all sorts of new levels and totally normal human scenarios for our favorite cephalopod to partake in. Check out this fantastic live action Octodad Shorts trailer!

According to the official Playstation blog, Octodad Shorts will offer up over 40 new objectives, 20 breakable plates, 0 unconscious ragdolls, an unspecified amount of new octopus sounds, and probably a pizza. Judging by the two screen shots in the post, we can count on Octodad taking on the role of a doctor and potentially calling for a check. Check them out below and embrace the hilarity.

As for a definite release date, nothing is set in stone right now, although the same blog post just says “weeks”, so that’s good, right? Octodad: Dadliest Catch is probably my favorite PS4 release, and knowing that free DLC is on the way has me blurglurgling to the break of dawn.

Tickets for the hype train can be purchased at the counter!

  1. This game looks hilarious, although I hear the story is pretty short. More content via DLC is most welcome.

    1. I think I finished the story in about 2 hours or so, but it was definitely a lot of fun. Going back for the achievements was fun as well, since they’re not standard “beat this level” stuff. You have to do some pretty absurd or difficult tasks.
