So I guess this is in the US only. I really wish I’d realised that before waiting an eternity for my PS3 to update the PSN and then navigating through the horrible storefront to discover I can’t actually get Dino Crisis 2 at all, nevermind for £1 😦
Doh! Yeah, I’m not sure if it’s region specific, but since we’re based in the United States we usually just cover sales going on here. I had no idea Sony split sales between regions, so that’s a bummer.
It never occurred to me either, to be honest! I’m less surprised about the region-specific sales than I am about the region-specific games though; I don’t understand why the PSN doesn’t have the same titles available around the world.
You should be able to register and log in to a North American PSN account from any console, at least to my knowledge. I know we can set up a European PSN account to access the PSN store over there, so I don’t see why you wouldn’t be able to do the same.
Maybe this 2012 GameSpot post will help.
