Crypt of the NecroDancer Will Let the Rhythm Kill You July 30th

necrodancermenuIndie dance-game/roguelike dungeon crawler Crypt of the NecroDancer is set to shimmy its way to Steam via Early Access on July 30th. Get ready to deliver beatdowns to the beat by checking out the Early Access debut trailer below!

Using your finger-feet (or even an official dance pad), you’ll explore randomly generated dungeons to the rhythm of the music; or use your own MP3s. The soundtrack is so good though that it’s been hard for me to use my own music instead, aside from just testing it out.

We were given early access to Crypt of the NecroDancer a couple of weeks ago, and we’re definitely impressed. It’s such a great combination of both genres, and trying to keep your rhythm going while memorizing monster attack patterns is a lot of fun. You’ll collect loot, cast spells, unlock new characters, and struggle to keep your dancing feet moving as you make your way down in to the crypt.

We’ll have our full Early Access review ready to go on launch day, but if it accounts for anything, Crypt of the NecroDancer is one of my personal favorites this year just based on what I’ve played pre-launch. It’s that good.

NecroDancer will also be dancing for charity through their upcoming NecroThon event on July 21st-30th! Various NecroCasters will be competing for top scores and contributing a nice chunk of cash to charity. You can check out the details at the official NecroDancer page.
