It’s been good for Bungie as of late. A highly successful Destiny alpha, an early access beta on PS3 and PS4, and if you didn’t know it already, Bungie opened the beta up a day early for Xbox One and Xbox 360 players, as well as letting PlayStation players back in. Sometimes life is good.
Riding the tide of good times, Bungie has made a settlement with Marty O’Donnell. If you recall, O’Donnell was ‘terminated without cause’ earlier this year and subsequently filed a lawsuit to recover unpaid benefits. It is now being reported that the two sides have come to a settlement of approximately $95,000 over the matter. The amount is to cover lost wages and benefits as well as damages and legal fees.
This is about the best news you will hear of this situation. While playing the Destiny alpha and beta, I’ve been wondering just how much of what I’m hearing he composed, but I’ll feel better when I know he has found a new home and is making his musical magic again.
