Those who attended the Evolution Championship Series 2014 were treated to a teaser of the upcoming title in the Tekken series, Tekken 7. Today, the full trailer was released, announcing the ‘end of the Mishimi saga’.

The trailer showcases the storyline of the new Tekken 7, and focuses on the end of the Mishima arc, as well as a new character named Kazumi Mishima. As if that wasn’t tantalizing enough, it appears that the game will be diving into the origins of the Devil Gene. Rumors also persist that Jun Kazama, who has been canonly declared missing and not dead, may be returning to the series, and not just in the non-canon titles like Tekken Tag Tournament 2.

But that’s not all for the Tekken universe. Tekken x Street Fighter had been announced back in 2010 as the companion title to Capcom’s 2012 Street Fighter x Tekken, but little else had been provided on the highly anticipated title. While no media was released, it was confirmed by Tekken director Katsuhiro Harada that Tekken x Street Fighter is still “moving forward”.

Of course, we heard the same thing around the same time last year, so with any luck, Harada will be able to release more information in the near future.
