With all of the bad news Crytek has been part of lately (money problems, employee departures, and closing offices, if you haven’t heard), it is refreshing and relieving to see some positive news from them.
The formerly Xbox One exclusive, Ryse: Son of Rome, will be available on PC this fall. Crytek will handle the digital distribution of the game and partner with Deep Silver for physical copy distribution. The PC version will include the following:
- Ryse: Son of Rome full game
- Colosseum Pack
- Mars’ Chosen Pack
- Duel of Fates Pack
- Morituri Pack
- Instant access to the Ruins multiplayer map
- “Legionnaire’s Trust” sword
Crytek may be using this as a proof of concept for its CRYENGINE, as the game is touted to run at an amazing 4K resolution for those with capable hardware. However, no price or release date was given at this time.
