The 2013 Xbox 360 exclusive State of Decay is the latest last-gen game confirmed to be receiving the remastered treatment.

Scheduled to release for the Xbox One and PC in Spring 2015, State of Decay: Year One Survival Edition will not only include enhanced 1080p visuals, as well as the Breakdown and Lifeline DLC packs, but also some brand new content.

The announcement was confirmed earlier today by Xbox Live’s Major Nelson in a blog post, although very little information was given outside of what we just mentioned above. In regards to the new content, he stated “Undead Labs will reveal more on the new content closer to release“, so we’ll just have to play the waiting game until then. Waiting is fun, right? In the meantime, enjoy the game’s official cover art.

State of Decay wasn’t perfect, but it was definitely a lot of fun. Are you excited about the zombie survival sim being remastered on Xbox One? Here’s hoping they add in the multi-player portion of the game they wanted to include originally!

  1. That’s pretty cool. I actually just started playing State of Decay again last night. Having enhanced graphics would be very nice. Multiplayer would be awesome.

    1. I’ve only played it on PC, so I’m not sure what the 360 version looked like. I’d be interested in playing it on Xbox One if they added multiplayer.
