Resident Evil Revelations 2 Confirmed With New Trailer, Coming Early 2015

revelations

A little over a week ago, a listing for Biohazard Revelations 2 appeared on Xbox.com and was quickly picked up by French gaming site Gamer in a Box before being pulled shortly after. We can go ahead and kick the term “rumor” to the curb now, as Capcom just confirmed the game’s existence with its new “Evil is Watching” trailer.

Although the trailer is little more than a reveal, it did come off as more horror focused, due in part to the mass amount of zombies that appear toward the end. Playstation Universe states that Revelations 2 is due out for PS4 in early 2015, but Total Xbox also confirms its release for Xbox 360 and Xbox One as well. It’s pretty safe to assume that if it’s being released on Xbox 360 it’ll make its way to the PS3 as well, but there’s no word on a possible Wii U release at this time.

According to the PSU article, Capcom has confirmed that the original team behind Revelations is in control of the sequel, and has been given full reign over the game’s setting and its protagonists. Revelations was a massive financial success for Capcom, and many felt that it was the best Resident Evil game to release since Resident Evil 4, so it was only a matter of time before we saw a sequel.
