Minecraft Now Available on Xbox One & PS4

Chances are that Minecraft was already available on every device you own, but starting today you can now enjoy the game on your Playstation 4 and Xbox One. There were initial reports that the Playstation 4 was getting Minecraft a day early, as the Xbox One version isn’t scheduled to release until tomorrow, but there are numerous reports from consumers that it’s also available for immediate download today through Xbox Live.

Minecraft is currently priced at $19.99, but if you already purchased the game on Playstation 3 or Xbox 360 you can upgrade to the new version for just $4.99. You can’t cross the road both ways though, so if you originally purchased the Xbox 360 version, you won’t be able to upgrade to the Playstation 4 version with the discounted price.

The updated versions include larger game worlds, as well as expanded multiplayer features, like the ability to flag your world as an open invite for anyone to join in, or set it to invite only for just you and your friends to destroy.

Specific to the Playstation 4 version, you can take advantage of remote play using your Vita console, while the Xbox One version features exclusive Halo skins.
