Playstation Plus is generally worth every penny, and on October 7th we’re going to get another reminder of why that is. Playstation owners with a Playstation Plus subscription will be receiving 7 free games, some of which are new releases for the console.
Playstation 4 will finally see the launch of the much delayed exclusive racer Driveclub, in the form of Driveclub: Playstation Plus Edition. This free version will include all available game modes, one location (India), 11 tracks, and 10 different cars to choose from. Of course you can also upgrade to the full version for $49.99, giving you all 5 locations, 55 tracks, 50 cars, and all 50 tour events.
Those of you worried about Evolution Studios‘ previous stance on the PSN Plus upgrade, it’s since been confirmed that you will no longer lose access to the game should you ever allow your PSN Plus subscription to lapse.
Playstation 4 owners will also have free access to Pix the Cat, Dust: An Elysian Tail, and Spelunky, which are all making their debut on the console.
Playstation 3 will see free downloads of Batman: Arkham Asylum, Rainbow Moon, Dungeons & Dragons: Chronicles of Mystara, and Spelunky.
And finally, Vita owners can download free copies of Pix the Cat, Rainbow Moon, and Spelunky.
Lots of cross-buy love this month, but nothing completely exclusive to the Vita unfortunately. I’m also surprised to see such old stuff on the PS3 list, but all four games are pretty solid.
