We’re just two weeks away from the launch of Bayonetta 2 on the Wii U, and if you can’t wait to get your hands on the game, the North American eShop now has a demo available for download.
Lasting about 8 minutes–and limited to 15 uses–the demo consists of a little bit of story, a short-yet-standard level, and two boss fights; one being a classic affair, while the other shows off the game’s in-flight combat mechanics.
There isn’t much enemy variety in the demo, although it does a great job easing you in to the game’s combat mechanics of punches, kicks, shooting, dodging, and activating Witch Time. It runs smooth as silk, and has lots of explosions and over-the-top moments to keep your A.D.D. in check. Both boss fights are standard Bayonetta fare, but extremely fun nonetheless.
Have you played the demo yet? What did you think? I was sold on Bayonetta 2 already, but after seeing how smooth the game runs, and how gorgeous the enemies and environments are, my body is ready for October 24th.
Bayonetta 2 is a Wii U exclusive, thanks to Nintendo fronting the publishing bill, and will release in two weeks on October 24th. The game will retail for $59.99 and include a remaster of the original Bayonetta, but you can also save $10 by pre-ordering the digital release directly from the Wii U eShop.

This demo was so good. I love everything about this except her new haircut. Bleh. Excited for the full game!
I kind of dig the haircut, but I miss the old outfit. Still, it’s super fluid and intense. The original is one of my favs of all time, so I’m beyond stoked for Bayo 2. The demo just sealed the deal a little further.
Sweet! I’m really excited for Bayonetta 2. But, I’ll be busy with The Evil Within, so I’ll probably just wait until the game comes out soon.
At least the demo is only 8 minutes, so if you need a break from dying repeatedly in Evil Within (challenging game, no?), it’ll be there!
