Sunset_Overdrive_forall_SunsetCity

From now until midnight Eastern time, anyone with an Xbox One and an Xbox Live Gold subscription can download the full version of Sunset Overdrive and check it out for the duration of the promotion. As one of the craziest exclusives to hit the console, I strongly suggest you do so if you haven’t picked it up already.

To clarify a few things, yes, the game is free to download until midnight EST. No, you don’t get to keep it after midnight unless, of course, you decide to pay for it. You have full access to the entire game, including the online co-op Horde mode, and you’ll also be unlocking achievements along the way. Should you decide to purchase the game after the 24 hour trial, all of your progress will carry over.

But what about those of us that already own the game? Microsoft hasn’t forgotten about us, don’t you worry. You should receive an e-mail with a download code for the Sunset Overdrive Vanity Pack, featuring about 9 pieces of clothing to unlock at your vendor.

With Sunset Overdrive not quite meeting sales expectations right now, this could be the shot in the arm in needs to creep its way in to more homes this holiday season.

Have you played it? Tell us what you think in the comments below!
