Iron Galaxy is hard at work on the 2nd season of Killer Instinct on Xbox One, and one of the returning fan favorites appears to be getting a cybernetic upgrade, courtesy of Ultratech. Featuring a segmented tail reminiscent of Ivy’s sword from Soul Calibur, Riptor is ready to get her shred on in two days on December 17th!

Check out the new reveal trailer for Riptor in all of her slashy and fiery glory, and stay until the end for a cryptic new character reveal.

I’m a huge fan of the Killer Instinct reboot, and although I haven’t been too interested in the 2nd season’s roster so far, Riptor looks fantastic. During today’s developer live stream, it was shown how Riptor can use her lightning-fast claws for unpredictable combos, as well as utilizing the length of her tail to keep your distance or chop down fast approaching opponents.

Will you be checking out Riptor on the 17th?

  1. I used to (pardon the pun) rip people to shreds with he and Spinal. While I thought he looked more menacing with just the gladiator wrist gauntlets from the first, (the cybernetic attachments make him look like one of the Battlesaurs from the recent Toy Story special) it is great to see him again and I remember being sad he didn’t make it to KI2 years ago.
