Zombies seem to be old news in part 6 of my Resident Evil HD playthrough with Chris Redfield. Instead of fighting shambling undead researchers, I now find myself facing a wide variety of grotesquely enlarged animals. It’s nothing but giant sharks, giant spiders, and giant bees from here on out.

In retrospect these creatures aren’t very creative additions to the Resident Evil universe, but hot damn if they didn’t have me running in fear like a little pansy. I remember being deathly afraid of the giant spiders when I played the original game on PS One. My 10-year-old brain couldn’t truly handle the horror.

If you’re interested in watching the action unfold live, be sure to tune into my Twitch channel! I stream basically every day at 4PM PST and it’s always amazing seeing familiar names in the chat. We have an really cool group of people watching the stream, so come take this nostalgic journey with us! If you miss a live broadcast, I will be uploading every episode to YouTube and publishing them on our site as well.
