Dear Vita,
This is so hard to write but I have to tell you that it is over. It’s nothing you did, please don’t blame yourself. Really, it’s not you…it’s me. I just want more than you are capable of giving me. That sounds so selfish and terrible. I hope that you don’t hate me.
We had been growing apart for quite some time. After all, I hadn’t really touched you in a long time and that is no way for a relationship to be. Don’t pretend like you haven’t seen me with my hands on some other console’s sticks during the last few weeks. I don’t want you to try to fool yourself into thinking it wasn’t happening.
I really thought we could give it one last try. We took that trip out of town to see friends and I had such high hopes that we could rekindle what we once had. It quickly fell apart when we tried to play a game and your controls just weren’t what I needed. How am I supposed to olli in Olli Olli 2 when your stick doesn’t recognize what I’m trying to do? Even in Counter Spy, you made me die because your lack of fidelity wouldn’t let me walk instead of run.
The very last chance we had was with Resogun. We played until we got a new high score and I properly shut you down for the day thinking we could have some morning fun the next day. However, when I tried to turn you on you denied me. You wouldn’t even acknowledge me pushing your buttons. That was the last cold shoulder I could take.
If you need some time to find your place, I will give you that. I hope that we can still be friends and play together every now and then. After all, I will always cherish the time we spent playing Uncharted: Golden Abyss. Those were magical times that I will think of fondly but can’t see ever returning.
You’ll always be special to me.

I realized I don’t buy games for the Vita, I only play the PS+ games. I think the last game I paid for was the Killzone Mercenaries game and that was a while ago.
I liked the PS Vita itself. My problem is the game selection. The 3DS is so much better when it comes to games!
True, there are many games worthwhile on the Vita.
