Are We Dead Yet?

Are We Dead Yet?Lately you’ve all probably been wondering what’s going over at the What’s Your Tag? headquarters. We haven’t been posting consistently, many of our weekly features aren’t happening or no longer exist, and quite frankly, the quality of some of our content has dropped significantly. I sincerely apologize for these inconsistencies.

For the past few months we’ve been going through quite the identity crisis. What’s Your Tag? has changed drastically since its inception over three years ago and while many of these changes have definitely been for the better, we sort of lost track of ourselves along the way. Instead of writing or creating content for things we genuinely care about, we began expanding our coverage to include topics far outside our comfort level. This works amazingly for sites like IGN or Polygon, but with our small team, we were stretching ourselves thin and killing the passion that sparked WYT? in the first place.

We’re still in the process of determining how we’d like to proceed with everything related to the site. To me, the most important thing is creating unique and entertaining content for you folks to enjoy. We have some great ideas being hammered out and we hope you’ll demonstrate some extreme patience while we pull ourselves together. Your support is greatly appreciated, especially in crazy times like these. Thank you all so much for reading our articles, laughing at our comics, listening to our podcast, and generally just being really awesome people. We’re not dead yet and we don’t plan on dying anytime soon.
